Saint Joseph with Baby Jesus

Hand carved wooden statue of Joseph with Baby Jesus. Josef was considered the carpenter with the big heart and probably the most famous foster father in history. Even today he is a great role model and identification figure. In addition, a “real spring figure” that combines the moment of departure and the beginning. Saint Joseph is considered the patron saint of the church in Bavaria and Tyrol, of craftsmen, carpenters, wood carvers, labourers, carpenters, engineers, educators, travelers and exiles.

He was of the lineage of King David, lived in Nazareth, and was the betrothed of Mary, the mother of Jesus. In the inner conflict of Mary’s pregnancy, an angel appeared to him in a dream and explained to him that Mary was pregnant by the Holy Spirit. Here the big heart of Joseph is shown. He stayed with Mary after the night apparition and Jesus was born in Bethlehem. The feast day of Saint Joseph is March 19 and has been a festival in the Roman calendar since 1621.

17 inch hand carved linden wood statue and stained in two colors. We also offer all statues of saints as individual one-off productions in all conceivable sizes and colors.
