Saint Joseph with lily flowers

The depiction of the wooden statue of St. Joseph with the lily is a very popular one. The lily with the large white flowers has always been a symbol of innocence and purity. The legend tells: One day staffs for all unmarried men of David’s line were brought to the temple. In this way the man for the Virgin Mary was to be found. Then suddenly a miracle happened: Joseph’s staff blossomed into a lily. In this way he became Mary’s preordained husband and probably the most famous foster father in history. He is a great role model and identification figure, especially in this day and age. In addition, a “real spring figure” that carries the moment of departure and the beginning. Among other things, we see him as the patron saint of the church in Bavaria and Tyrol, of craftsmen, carpenters, wood carvers, labourers, carpenters, engineers, educators, travelers and exiles. The feast day of Saint Joseph is March 19 and has been a festival in the Roman calendar since 1621.

The hand carved statue in linden wood figure of Saint Joseph is currently 24 inch natural and glazed in stock.
