Saint Joseph the Worker with tools

Hand carved wooden statue of Joseph, the carpenter with the big heart and probably the most famous foster father in history. He is a great role model and identification figure, especially in this day and age. In addition, a “real spring figure” that carries the moment of departure and the beginning. Among other things, we see him as the patron saint of the church in Bavaria and Tyrol, of craftsmen, carpenters, wood carvers, labourers, carpenters, engineers, educators, travelers and exiles.

He lived in Nazareth, was of the lineage of King David, and was the betrothed of Mary, the mother of Jesus. In the inner conflict of Mary’s pregnancy, an angel appeared to him in a dream and explained to him that Mary was pregnant by the Holy Spirit. Here the big heart of Joseph is shown. He stayed with Mary after the night apparition and Jesus was born in Bethlehem. The family had fled to Egypt after the threat of Herod’s murder of the children and only returned two years later. The feast day of St. Joseph is March 19 and has been a festival in the Roman calendar since 1621.

Statue made of linden wood, hand carved in 12 – 24 inch in Germany. The figure of Saint Joseph the worker is available in all variants, natural, glazed, stained or set in gold leaf.
